Ruben managed my B&B in Merida, Casa Santana, for 4 years. He paid all the bills, greeted all the guests, managed the staff, took care of all the repairs and maintenance & so on & so on. I have stayed in Casa Taurus two different times. On our second trip to Merida, Ruben met us at the door and showed us the house, gave us the keys, his phone number (both cell and work) and told us to call him with any issues. We called the next day because we thought we had lost a set of door keys. (They were only mis placed and later found.) Ruben assured us there was no problem and he had another set to us within the hour. We could not have asked for a better host.

Your knowledge and recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and out of town trips were invaluable, and the practical info, re where to get groceries etc. was most helpful. We also enjoyed the private little house tour you took us on. It is a real advantage to have someone who was born and raised in the area and so familiar with everything acting as a “host”.
