Here are a few tips for preparing your home for the easiest sale possible:
- Clean the house thoroughly, especially sinks and toilets
- Have beds made, clothes hung and dishes put away when showing the house
- Always turn on all the lights when showing a house (and turn them off when you’re done!)
- Pay attention to odors. You might be used to certain smells that a prospective buyer is not. Ask a neighbor to come in and do a smell test!
- Swimming pools and fountains should be clean and sparkling.
- Put as many personal items out of sight as possible in bedrooms and bathrooms.
